What are the manufacturing processes for wheel hubs

  In automotive manufacturing, the processes for producing wheel hubs are mainly divided into two levels:
  basic casting and advanced forging. Casting processes include three levels: gravity casting, low-pressure casting, and spin casting. Gravity casting is done by pouring molten metal into a mold and allowing it to cool, while low-pressure casting improves metal density to enhance strength. Spin casting is an advancement of low-pressure casting, involving heating and rotational pressure during the casting process. In contrast, forged wheel hubs are superior in quality.
  First, aluminum material is heated to a suitable temperature, then shaped into an initial model using a forging press, and further optimized structurally through a spinning process. The advantages of forged wheel hubs include higher strength, lightweight aluminum material, better reliability, and a more precise manufacturing process. However, forged wheel hubs are not without drawbacks. Their high cost and the complexity of replacing parts are factors to consider. Nevertheless, for high-end vehicles that prioritize performance and quality, the value of forged wheel hubs is often irreplaceable.
